Millie F. (Bussard) Bailey

Millie F. Bailey, 97, died Saturday (Feb. 28, 2004) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

She was born Aug. 6, 1906, to David and Mary (Howell) Bussard in Frontier County. She attended rural school in Frontier County.

On Nov. 28, 1923, she married Ervin N. Bailey at McCook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ervin on June 15, 1980; two sons; two daughters; two brothers; eight sisters; one grand-daughter and two grandsons.

Survivors include her children Edward Bailey of Trenton, Annabelle Ebert of McCook, Dale Bailey and wife, Beverly of Trenton, Lola Wilke and husband, Roland of Culbertson, Melvin Bailey and wife, Donna of Arapahoe, Shirley Peters and husband, Byron of McCook and Twila Olson and husband, Roger of Grand Island; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
