Arthur "Pee Wee" Duane Blume

Arthur Duane “Pee Wee” Blume, age 82, of McCook, NE passed away unexpectedly at his home in McCook on December 7, 2016. He was 82 years old.
Duane was born August 30, 1934 in Atwood, Kansas to parents Elmer and Ruth (Wilkinson) Blume. He was one of three children. The family later moved to Culbertson, NE where Duane graduated from Culbertson High School with the Class of 1946.
On October 15, 1961, Duane married Dorothy L. (Sprinkle) Blume in Culbertson. Duane worked for Frenchman Valley Coop for 37 years and then McCook Daily Gazette for 17. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan and a member of Peace Lutheran Church for 42 years.
Duane is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; two sons Jeff Lasater and Terry Lasater; brother Charles Blume; and sister Darlene Best.
He is survived by his daughter Kandy Jo (Gregg) D’Rozario of Tampa, FL; daughter in law Raina Lasater of Wauneta, NE; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016, 2 PM, at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with Pastor Brett Hinrichs.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, also located in McCook.
