Betty C. Hiatt

Betty Charlene Hiatt, age 73, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.
Betty was born on October 3, 1942 in McCook to Paul H. and Mary F. (Dawson) Schneider. She graduated from McCook High School.
She married Gerald “Pudge” Sitzman in 1958..
On February 16, 1980 she married Leon “Red” Hiatt on February 16, 1980.
Betty was a past member of the McCook Eagles Club.
Betty worked at Dayco for many years; she also worked at the McCook Clinic and Total Turf.
She loved to travel and spend time visiting with her friends. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids sporting events.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Barbara) Sitzman of Kearney, Ron (Darla) Sitzman of Grand Island; step-sons, Dennis (Karen) Hiatt of McCook, Don (Linda) Hiatt of Saginaw, TX, Doug (Bobbi) Hiatt of McCook, Ken (Peggy) Hiatt of Parker, CO; six grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three brothers, Chuck, Paul and Raymond.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Clark Bates officiating.
Memorials may be given in her name.
