Betty Ann Renner

Betty Ann Renner, 94, formerly of Palisade, NE, passed away on May 11, 2026, in Lincoln, NE.

Born March 15, 1932, in Wauneta, NE, she was the daughter of Oscar H. and Maude M. (Graham) Weston. Betty graduated from high school in Greybull, WY, in 1950 and studied nursing for two years before enlisting in the U.S. Navy where she earned her nursing degree.

On March 25, 1952, she married fellow serviceman Karl L. Renner. They settled in southwest Nebraska and raised four children.

Betty worked as a nurse at McCook Community Hospital for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, and Husker sports. She was a past member of the Rebekah lodge.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Karl in 1971, siblings Ocia Weston, Mark Weston, Mildred Andrews, Delores Morgan, and Nadine Suda.

She is survived by her children: Karl Renner, Deb Godwin, Teresa Burns, and Kevin Renner. Betty also leaves four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
