Bonita K Hollenhors, age 70, of Trenton, NE passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.
Bonita was born April 6, 1952 in Imperial, NE to parents Fred Grant and Helen Elizabeth (Colling) Martin. She was one of five children born to this union. Bonita attended school in McCook, NE, graduating with the Class of 1970.
On June 30, 1973 Bonita married Cary L. Hollenhors at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McCook. The couple was blessed with four children.
Bonita was very family oriented, caring lovingly for Cary’s parents and her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching Nebraska Football.
Bonita was preceded in death by her parents; Cary’s parents; and her brothers, James Bernard (Bev) Martin and Clifford Anthony Martin; and an half infant sister, Meredith Colling.
Bonita is survived by her husband, Cary Hollenhors of Trenton; daughters, Tammy (Robert) Turpin and Michelle Lynn, both of Trenton; sons, Jeffrey (Amanda) Hollenhors of Colby, KS and Jerome (Sheree) Hollenhors of McCook; sisters, Frieda (Bernard) Goetze of Norcatur, KS, and Bernadette (LaVerne) Miller of Norfolk, NE; and sister in law, Carol Martin of Sharon Springs, KS. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Bonita’s name to be designated at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 5 to7:30pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:30 at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton with Father Gary Brethour as Celebrant.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday December 7, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton with Father Gary Brethour as Celebrant.
Burial will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.
