Cathy M. Heskett

Cathy M. Heskett of McCook passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Community Hospital. She was 63 years old.

Cathy was born on May 13, 1951 to parents, Adair A. and Maxine E. (Davidson) Myers. She graduated from McCook High School in 1969.

She was united in marriage to Mark Heskett in McCook on June 6, 1969. To this union three children were born, Andrew, Amy and Adam. Cathy was a paraprofessional for McCook Schools for over 25 years. She worked with several grades throughout her tenure but her main focus was with special needs children.

In her free time she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, cooking, and gardening. She had a huge passion for animals especially the ones at the shelter and her 13 year old lab, Emma. Cathy was also an avid Husker football fan.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Adair and Maxine; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Heskett of McCook; daughter, Amy and husband, David Beaulieu, of Alexandria, VA; sons, Andrew Heskett and wife, Deborah, of Tonganoxie, KS and Adam Heskett and wife, Larissa, of Culbertson; sister, Carla and husband, Richard Winters, of McCook; six grandchildren, Laura, Meghan, Beckett, Anna, Irelyn, and Greyson; and a host of special friends and family.

Memorials may be given in her memory to McCook Humane Society, McCook Community Home Health and Hospice, or Breast Cancer Awareness.

Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014, 3- 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with family present.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at McCook Christian Church with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
