Cindy J. Larson

Cynthia Jean (Skaritka) Larson, age 69, of McCook, NE passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at her home in McCook.

Cindy was born February 21, 1951 in North Brunswick, New Jersey to parents Paul and Ruth (Outcalt) Skaritka. She was one of two children.  Cindy attended school in California, graduating from Santa Maria High School with the Class of 1969.  She went on to further her education by attending Allen Hancock College and in 1996, she graduated from nursing school and became an L.P.N.

Cindy’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She always carried balloons in her purse for the grandkids and loved to play “bop the balloon”.  Cindy enjoyed camping, fishing singing and dancing, especially to the oldies, and found peace walking through cemeteries.  She was an avid reader who loved to read the National Enquirer. Cindy spent many years as a single mom and was very proud of the daughters she raised.

On November 7, 2013 Cindy married Jerry Larson in Trenton, NE.  The couple made their home in McCook.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Paul Skaritka; and her mother and stepfather, Ruth (Lewis) Denney; and two stepmothers, Caye Skaritka and Goldie Skaritka.

Those left to celebrate her life include husband, Jerry Larson of McCook; daughters, Amanda (Austin) Randolph, Bronwyn “Bunny” Beasley, Cayla (Zac) Richards, Danica Skaritka and bonus daughter, Christina Lee, all of McCook; son in law, Justin Beasley of Kingston Springs, TN, and life long friend Robert Remington of McCook; brother, Robert (JJ) Skaritka of Seattle, WA; step sister, Pam (Sid) Neal of Arroyo Grande, CA; aunt, Binny (Gene) Moses of Palm Desert, CA; and nine grandchildren, Liam, Aubree, Adrianna, Ethan, Jaxton, Emily, Landyn, Eve, and Juliet.
