Darell D. Gautier

Darell Dwayne Gautier, age 58, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Decatur County, Kansas.

On March 20, 1959 Darell was born to Archie Lee and Doris Jean (Edge) Gautier in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He attended Southview High School, Fayetteville, NC.

Darell married Kimberly Capps in Denver, Colorado on December 23, 1994.

Darell spent his lifetime as a trucker and he enjoyed it.  He loved riding his Harley; he also enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time in his yard taking care of his trees and property. Darell was nicknamed ‘Gnome’ by his friends. He had a very sweet spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. His big yellow lab, Elmer was his world.

Darell is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Culbertson; daughter, Amanda Gautier and Ted Clendenen of Savannah, GA; father, Archie Gautier of Culbertson; brother, Archie “Butch” and Kaye Gautier of Cameron, NC; sisters, Rita and Jeff Richert of Hookerton, NC, Angie and Jeff Peterson of Fayetteville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Darell was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; and brother, Terry Wayne Gautier.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Karr officiating.   Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
