Dennis Lee Riener, age 80 years, 2 months and 2 days, of Palisade, NE passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook, NE.

Dennis was born March 23, 1942 in Oberlin, KS to parents Harry J. and Margaret (Ketterl) Riener. He was the second of four children who attended school in Herndon, KS graduating from Herndon High School with the Class of 1960.

Following high school, on April 15, 1961, Dennis married the love of his life, Doris J. (Sattler) Riener in Herndon.  The couple made their home in Palisade and became parents to two children, Clifford and Sylvia.  Dennis was a lifelong farmer who devoted his life to agriculture.  He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Palisade.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Doris Riener of Palisade; son, Clifford (Shirley) Riener of Palisade; daughter, Sylvia (Robert) Dunker of Atwood, KS; siblings, Wayne (JoAnn) Riener of Concord, CA, Nadine (Joe) Green of Herndon and Karol (Jackie) Riener of McCook; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
