Doris Ann Jones

Doris Ann Jones, age 73, of McCook, NE passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home in McCook.

Doris, the second of five children, was born February 22, 1948 in Topeka, KS to parents Jack Dale and Donita F. (Smith) Woosley.  Doris graduated from high school in Greenville, MI with the class of 1966.

Doris married Russel H. Jones on September 25, 1994 in Lebanon, NE where the couple made their home before settling in McCook.

Doris was employed by Walmart for over twenty five years where she worked in the jewelry department.  She enjoyed shopping for the best online deals, spending time with her family, online gaming, bird watching, and planting flowers.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Carl Lawver; husband, Russel Jones; brother, David Woosley; and sister in law, Sheila Woosley.

Those left to celebrate her life include sons, Raully Jones of Navato, CA and Kipp (Pam) Jones of Marietta, CA; daughters, Deb (Barney Lake) Smith of McCook, Veronica (John) Karenbauer of Fairbury, NE, Crystal (Justin) Day of McCook, Mandy (Lanny) Carlson of Trenton, NE and Jennifer (Curtis) Bell of Watertown NY; a foreign exchange student who became a daughter, Gaelle (Samuel) Depraz of Lyons, France; brother, Richard Woosley of Topeka, KS; sisters, Sue Sexton of Hominy, OK and Deanna (Bob) Wuelfing of Belding ,MI; twenty seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
