Elinor Ann Rasmusen, age 95, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, NE, on September 18, 2026.

Elinor was born March 9, 1931, in Charter Oak, Iowa, to parents George and Margaret (Jordan) Clark. She was one of four children. She grew up in Chippawa Falls, WI and graduated high school in 1949

Elinor married Kenneth Rasmusen September 24, 1950, in Chippawa Falls, WI. Together they raised four children: Linda, Karen, Margie, and Steven.

In her professional life, Elinor was a paralegal secretary for Daniel & Murphy Law Firm and several judges.

She enjoyed sewing and playing cribbage. She was a talented singer and piano player. Elinor had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, especially the Lord’s Prayer. She even directed a youth choir at her church in Omaha, NE.

Elinor is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Rasmusen; daughter, Linda Talaga and Margie Weston; brothers, William and Roger Clark; sister Beverly Driscoll; and one grandchild.

Those left to celebrate Elinor’s legacy are her children, Steve Rasmusen of McCook, NE and Karen (Steve) Carrier of North Platte, NE; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
