John C. Roschewski

John Carl Roschewski, age 62, of Culbertson, NE passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, NE.

John was born April 5, 1954 in Redwood City, California to parents Howard Frederick and Grace (Sterlicio) Roschewski.  He was one of three siblings.

John enlisted in the Army at an early age where he served from 1971 to 1974, during which time he was stationed in Germany.

On July 26, 1980, John married Marybeth (Eisenach) Roschewski in Culbertson.  The couple made their home in Culbertson where John worked as a heavy equipment operator with a construction company.

Throughout his life, John enjoyed fishing, hunting, family barbeques and playing golf.  John attended the Culbertson Methodist Church, and was also a Boy Scout Leader when his son, J.J., was young.

Preceding John in death were his parents, Howard and Grace Roschewski.

Survivors include his wife, Marybeth Roschewski of Culbertson; son, J.J. (Jael) Roschewski of Kearney, NE; daughters, Hannah (Tim) Blomstedt and their son Carl of Garden City, KS, Bobbi (Mike) Paulson and children Amanda and Dale of Estherville, IA and Kim Garcia and her five children of Bloomington, IN; brother Martin Roschewski of North Platte, NE; and sister Ruth (Gary) Lucas of McCook, NE.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the McCook Christian Church with Terry McCorkle, officiating.

A Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be designated in John’s name.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
