Obituary

Josephine Almira Wesch died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was 90 years old.

Josephine was born on October 28, 1914, in Frontier County, Nebraska, to Burtis Lloyd and Minnie Mary (Jewel) McMains. She attended Center Pointe School and received her GED from McCook Community College in 1978.

On June 28, 1939, she married Edward R. Wesch at Oberlin. To this union two sons were born. They made their home in McCook. Josephine was employed in retail management for Montgomery Ward and Gambles.

She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Hospital Auxiliary, Professional Women's Club and Garden Prairie Home Extension Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Burtis and Minnie McMains; and her husband, Edward Wesch.

Survivors include her two sons, Jerry E. Wesch of Chicago, IL and Roland L. Wesch and wife, Sue, of McCook; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Visitation will be Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 12, 2005, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
