Juanita Monzon Jones, age 96, of McCook, NE passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.

Juanita was born September 9, 1924 in McCook to parents Jesus and Francisca Melendez Monzon.  She was one of nine children.  Juanita grew up in McCook where she attended school and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Juanita married Victor Jones in Denver, CO. Juanita worked in the restaurant industry all of her adult life.  Together with Victor, the couple owned a restaurant in Cheyenne, WY where they made their home.  In her free time, Juanita enjoyed crocheting.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Teresa Monzon, Louisa Taylor, Mary Ostendorf, Angel, Pete and Joseph Monzon and an infant brother; as well as two nieces, two nephews and a great nephew.

Those left to celebrate her life include one brother Victor (Mary Ellen) Monzon of McCook, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
