Judy Eileen Harrison

June 13, 1957 — January 22, 2017

Judy Eileen Harrison, age 59, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Judy was born June 13, 1957 to Warren E. and Rose A. (Maris) Harrison in Stratton, Nebraska.  She graduated from Stratton High School in 1975 then went on to McCook Community College from 1976 to 1978, Mid America Nazarene College in Olathe, KS from 1978 – 1981 where she received her BA of Elementary Education.

Judy was a substitute teacher in the area.  She taught at various schools, including Benkelman, Imperial, Trenton and Stratton.

Judy taught Sunday School from 1993 to 2011 for 5 to 7 year olds.  She liked to decorate cakes for her folk’s anniversary celebrations.  She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting and black velvet drawings.  Her hobbies were playing the piano and organ and doing crafts such as cross-stitch and needlework.

Judy is survived by her father, Warren Harrison of Stratton; siblings, Ed Harrison and wife, Christine of North Platte, Bev Henderson and husband, Gary of Stratton, Ken Harrison and wife, Alicia of California; nieces and nephews, Ben Harrison, Andrew Harrison and wife, Rebecca, Kevin Harrison and fiancé, Jessica Mowrer, James T. Henderson and wife, Christina, Julie Hilker and husband, Jarrod, Joey Henderson and wife, Bekah, Josh Henderson and wife, Erin, Stratton Harrison, Milan Harrison and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Rose.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 9:30 a.m. CDT on January 28, 2017 at Christian Union Church in Stratton.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. CST on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Christian Union Church with Pastor Kevin Fink officiating.   Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. CST in the Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

Memorials may be given in her name to El Dorado Manor, POB 97, Trenton, NE  69044.
