June Rose Grossman

June Rose Grossman, age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Community Hospital of McCook.
June was born on June 1, 1920 to John H. and Susie M. (Seeman) Thomas at Norcatur, Kansas. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938.
On November 26, 1939 she married Robert M. Grossman in Oberlin, Kansas.
She worked at JC Penney for 42 years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, helping with community fund raisers and fishing. In the summer she had a large garden and canned many of her goods, in the winter, she helped Robert with his snow removal business.
Survivors include her son Jimmy Grossman of McCook; sister, Letha of Oregon; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sons, Donald in infancy and Billy.
Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bales officiating. Burial will take place in the Danbury-Marion Cemetery.
