Linda Kay Jones

Linda Kay Jones, age 72, of Palisade, NE passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home in Palisade.

Linda was born in Imperial, NE on March 20, 1949 to parents Thomas and Cleo (Denbo) Wickizer.  She was one of six children (Ted, Beverly, Sherry, Karlene, Linda and Gordon) born to this union.  Linda grew up in Sodtown near Palisade, where she also attended school.

On August 28, 1967, Linda married the love of her life, Jesse D. Jones in McCook, NE. The couple was blessed with four children: sons, Tracy, Shannon, and Toby and daughter Tonya, who died in infancy.

Over the years, Linda enjoyed being a home maker.  She loved to play card games and find the best bargains at local garage sales.  Her family was her pride and joy.  Linda had large vinyl record collection which she enjoyed listening to.  She was especially fond of Elvis Presley.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Jones; infant daughter, Tonya Jones; daughter in law, Kim Jones; and siblings, Ted, Beverly and Gordon.

Those left to celebrate her life include her three sons, Tracy Jones of Moorcroft, WY, Shannon Jones of Estes Park, CO and Toby Jones of Palisade; two sisters, Sherri Wright of Oxford, NE and Karlene French of Lincoln, NE; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Kian, Ali, Hunter, Scoutt and Larkyn; two great grandchildren, Drezdan and Zaiya; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
