Lloyd Delbert Lacey, age 87, of Hayes County, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 with his family by his side.

Lloyd was born June 23, 1932 in Hayes County to parents Albert James and Maude Effie (Snoke) Lacey.  He was one of five siblings who grew up in Hayes County where he also attended school.  Lloyd graduated with the Class of 1951.

Following high school, Lloyd joined the United States Army on December 2, 1952, proudly serving our country in Korea. He was honorably discharged on September 18, 1954.  At that time, he returned to the family farm and married Karen (McBrien) Lacey on February 11, 1961. Together they raised three children, Dana, Sean and Jason.  Lloyd was an avid hunter and enjoyed Husker and Denver Bronco football.  In the past six years, his new hobby was enjoying his 13 great grandchildren whenever they came to visit.

Lloyd was a member of the American Legion, the Hayes Country School Board, the McCook Elks Club and the local trap shooting league.

Preceding Lloyd in death were his parents, Albert and Maude Lacey; daughter, Dana K. Rowley; two brothers, Loren Lacey and infant brother Donald Lacey; and two sisters, Rowena Cathcart and Alpha Kinsey.

Surviving Lloyd is his wife of 58 years, Karen (McBrien) Lacey of the home; two sons, Sean Lacey and wife Kelly of Culbertson, NE and Jason Lacey and wife Imelda of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Bailey Filips and husband Tony of Hershey, NE, Dexter Lacey and wife Dove of Culbertson, Joshua Rowley and wife Shawna of North Platte, NE, Jenna Waterhouse of Culbertson, and Jake Rowley and wife Amber of Hayes Center, NE; along with 13 great grandchildren, Jaxon, Addison, and Hayden Filips, Jordyn, Tatum, and Merritt Lacey, Danika, Morgan, and Taylor Rowley, Jasper and Jerako Waterhouse, and Kaylie and Kolton Rowley.
