Marian Lucy Roberts

Marian Lucy Roberts passed away April 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by family at Highland Park Retirement Community in McCook, NE.

Marian was born on August 31, 1927 to Conrad and Ruth (Wilson) Buhrman at St.Libory, Nebraska. She attended St. Libory Catholic School.

She married Earl Alvin Roberts on November 6, 1946 and to this union eleven children were born. Earl and Marian lived their new married life in the St Libory, NE area and then moved in 1956 to Denver, Colorado until 1994 when they return to Nebraska to live in McCook.

Marian enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, traveling, crocheting, and working in her flower beds. Marian was a Loving Wife and Mother. She loved her family with her whole heart.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, sons, Anthony and Dennis Roberts; brothers Leo and Michael Buhrman.

Survivors include her husband Earl of 67 years, Nine children, Sandra (Bill) George of Lincoln, NE, Linda Fisher of Sterling, CO, Peggy (Ron) Niebur, Earl (Cindy) Roberts of McCook, NE, David (Mary Ann) Roberts of Littleton, CO, Nancy (David) Low, Diane Cubbon, Duane (Connie) Roberts all of Lakewood, CO, and Debbie (Ed) Douglas of McCook, NE. 2 Sisters Betty (Joe) Mott of Golden, CO, and Ruth Marie Offolter of La Luz, N.M.; 4 brothers, Virgil Buhrman of Alturus, CA, Clyde (Rosemary) Buhrman of North Platte, NE, Kenneth (Norma) Buhrman of Fayetteville, S.C., and Larry (Diana) Buhrman of St. Libory, NE and sister-in-laws, Joan Roberts of Portland, OR., Sheryl (Larry) Blauhorn of St. Libory, NE, and brother-in-law Roscoe Anderson of Kennard, NE, 48 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook, NE.

Rosary will be held Monday April 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in McCook.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in McCook with Father Andrew Heaslip officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Calvary Cemetery McCook.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Patrick's Church or the Community Home Health and Hospice.
