Maverick Brian Hoins, infant son of Trevor and Marisa (Esch) Hoins, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE. Maverick lived up to his name by taking flight with his dad to Omaha.

Maverick was born Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Community Hospital in McCook, NE.  His two short days on earth touched his parents’ hearts forever. He was baptized into the Catholic Church and took his final flight on the wings of angels to heaven.

Maverick is survived by his loving parents, Trevor and Marisa Hoins of McCook; paternal grandparents, Doug (Carla) Hoins of Superior, NE; maternal grandparents, Brian (Mary) Esch of McCook; uncle, Brady Esch of McCook; two aunts, Justine (Steve) Schaffer and cousin, Mila Schaffer, all of Lincoln, NE and Jaysa (Tyan) Boyer of Hastings, NE; great grandparents, Leslie (Neita) Hoins of Beatrice, NE; great grandmother, Sara Esch of Indianola, NE; and numerous extended family members.

Maverick was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Donavon (Anna Marie) VanWesten, Vern Esch and Lyle (Rita) Bowles.
