Merlin Ray Rippe, age 74, of Oberlin, KS passed away at his home in Oberlin on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Merlin was born March 17, 1946 in Ludell, KS to parents Raymond Henry and Ella Dorothea (Hesterman) Rippe.  He attended school in Oberlin, graduating from Decatur Community High School with the Class of 1964.

Merlin married Carolyn F. (Farr) Rippe on March 19, 1967 in Oberlin. To this union two children were born.

Merlin was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Adam Rippe.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Carolyn Rippe of Oberlin; daughter Belinda (David) Larson of Brooklet, GA; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy and Emily.

A private family inurnment will take place on a future date.
