Michael James Stucker, age 46, of McCook, NE passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

Michael was born on January 8, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa to Earl B. Stucker and Donna L. Spahn.

Michael was given a kidney from his mother, Donna, in 1979 but unfortunately, his body rejected it.  In 1980, Michael was the recipient of donor kidney that his body accepted.

Michael grew up and attended special education classes at Adel and Waukee, Iowa. He was a member of the Waukee 1993 graduating class.  Following high school, Michael lived in Perry, IA working at Abilities Unlimited until moving to McCook in 2004.  Michael moved into Southwest Area Training Services there he loved to work in their workshop as well as for Valmont.

Michael loved camping, wood working, video games, fishing and table games.

Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Rex Carfield of Indianola, NE; grandmother, Fern Stucker of Adel, IA; brother Nick and wife Kristi Stucker and their children Cassidy, Megan and David all of Adel; aunts and uncles Mary and Butch Gonzales of McCook, Rod and Liz Stucker of Adel, Linda Bedenbender also of Adel, and half brother Jordan Stucker of Waukee, IA.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Earl Stucker; grandparents Pat and Ed Spahn and Bennie Stucker; as well as an uncle, Jim Bedenbender

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Long officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Bluffs Cemetery in Cedar Bluffs, Kansas.
