Michael was born on September 14, 1954, in Wichita, KS to Lester P. and Dorothy M. (Schauf) Book.

Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed camping.

Michael is survived by his two sons Tony Book of Culbertson and Jared and wife Maria Book; and their family Francesca and Jason of Jacksonville, AL.

Michael was preceded by his parents.
