Nathan “Dick” Allen Seybold of Trenton, NE passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, NE.  Dick was 88 years old.

Born in Trenton on June 22, 1929 to parents Charles Lester and Esther L. (Marquardt) Seybold, Dick grew up one of two brothers, attending and graduating from Trenton High School in 1948.

On July 15, 1960, Dick married the love of his life, Georgie Jean (Blankenship) Seybold in Otis, CO.  To this union one son, David, was born.  Dick and Georgie lived in several places throughout Nebraska and Colorado before settling north of Trenton in 1993.

Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Dick was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad as a section foreman.  He was a member of the Trenton VFW Post and the American Legion Post 337.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, as well as playing cards with family and friends.  Over the years, Dick and Georgie experienced many travel adventures throughout the United States together, including two special trips to Alaska.

Dick was preceded in death by his bride of 53 years, Georgie Seybold, in 2013; his parents; and one brother, Bill (Dottie) Seybold.

Dick is survived by his son, David (Becky) Seybold of Trenton and their seven children, Dick’s grandchildren, Cheyenne Beegle of Culbertson, NE and Angelina Beegle, Savannah Beegle, Dallas Beegle, Charlie Seybold, Jack Seybold and Emmalynn Seybold all of Trenton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 3 to 8 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 beginning at 10:30 AM at the Church of God in Trenton with Pastor Jason Smith officiating.

Burial with Military Honors will follow the service in the Trenton Cemetery.
