Norris L. Brown

Norris Lee Brown, age 83, of McCook, NE passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Community Hospital in McCook.

Norris was born May 30, 1940 in McCook to parents Harry and Margaret L. (O’Berg) Brown. He grew up on the family farm south of McCook. Because of his grand mal seizures, Norris was not allowed to attend school.

Norris loved listening to country music and watching baseball, especially the Kansas City Royals. He often spent time playing card games, such as pinochle, and hanging out with his dogs. Many will fondly remember Norris for the joy he found in handing out bubblegum to people.

Norris was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Robert Malleck; nephew, Christopher Malleck; and niece, Kellie Mullen.

Those left to celebrate his life include his siblings, Harry (Jan) Brown of Omaha, NE, and John Brown and Marilyn Malleck, both of McCook; nieces and nephews, Ray Malleck, Joan Bass, Cheryl Leitner, Derek Brown, Jason Brown, Shannon Bird and Nolan Brown; as well as numerous great nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
