Patricia "Pat" Louise Larson

Patricia “Pat” Louise Larson, age 83, of McCook, NE passed away on October 22, 2018 at McCook, NE.

Patricia was born September 25, 1935 in Villisca, Iowa to parents Hubert and Laura (Netto) Storer. She was one of five children born to them.

Patricia grew up in Iowa, graduating from Creston High School in Creston, Iowa with the Class of 1953.

On July 22, 1971, Patricia married, Victor Ivan Larson, stepfather to Patricia’s four children: son, Michael and daughters, Vicky, Patty and Elaine.

Patricia especially loved children, watching her yard animals and pets, and was passionate about abused animals.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Girl Scouts, an excellent piano player, and often played on live radio as a teenager in Creston Iowa. She loved to watch cloud formations, and won an essay contest in High School about cloud watching, and was a Creston High School football cheerleader.  She enjoyed volunteering as a former Pink Lady at McCook Hospital, as a Study Buddy at the McCook elementary schools, was a member of the Oxford Nebr. Jaycees, and delivered meals-on-wheels in McCook.  Pat, as most people called her, resided at her home until recently at 1006 East C Street for 50 years, worked at the McCook Walmart until her retirement in about the year 2000.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Larson; her parents, Hubert and Laura Storer; and her brother, Hurbert “Bud” Storer.

Those left to mourn her passing include her son, Michael (Shirley) Larson of Loveland, CO; daughters, Vicky (LaVern) Liebbrandt of McCook, Patty Axtell of Holdrege, NE and Elaine (Gregg) Evans of Kearney, NE; brother Larry (Carol) Storer of Omaha, NE; sister, Janice Miller of Appleton, WI; sister in law, Martha Storer of Shreveport, LA; as well as six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous other extended family members.
