Raymond “Ray” D.  Furbee, age 62, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home in McCook.

Ray was born July 7, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Raymond Herman and Frances Marie (Dinicola) Furbee.

Ray married Antoinette L. (Shaffer) Furbee on April 8, 1995 in Lancaster, CA.  The couple moved to McCook in 2001 from Arizona.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in 1974.

Ray was a member of the Catholic faith.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching western movies.  He was a welder by trade and worked on several movies sets at Universal Studios while living in California.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Toni in 2018; and one sister, Joyce.

Ray is survived by his daughter Sabrina (Christopher) Reedy; step daughter Amanda (Joseph) Branco; four grandchildren Jordan Reedy, Angelina Schaffer-Johnson, Jasmine Williams and Noah Williams; and close friend, JD Bradley.
