Rick R. Miner

Rick R. Miner, age 59, of McCook, NE passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home in McCook.

Rick was born July 7, 1961 in Cambridge, NE to parents Ivan and Alice Lucille (Hill) Miner.  Rick was the youngest of five siblings who grew up in Indianola, NE, attending school at Republican Valley. He graduated with the Class of 1980. Rick moved to McCook in 1988.

Rick married Ruth (Bruner) Miner on August 13, 1988.  The couple made their home in McCook where Rick was self-employed as a water technician with Gr8 H20.

Rick enjoyed camping, fishing, watching sports, especially the Huskers, playing cornhole, weightlifting, hanging out with his grandkids, woodworking, golfing, playing sand volleyball, listening to music and gaming.  He loved to watch the sunset. Rick was a member of the McCook Eagles Club.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lucille Miner; and his brother and sister in law, Marv and Shirley Miner.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Ruth Miner of McCook; children, Corey (Mariah) Miner and Tanner (Shelby) Miner all of McCook; brothers, Gary (Vickie) Miner of Denver, CO and Doug Miner of San Diego, CA; sister, Iva Miner of Holdrege, NE; and his four grandchildren, Ella, Nahla, Skylin and Arya.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4PM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook.

Funeral Services will be held at 2PM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Budke officiating.

Private burial will be held at a later date.
