Robert E. Hinz

Robert E. Hinz, age 88, passed away, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Community Hospital of McCook.
Robert was born May 23, 1928 to Emil H. and Charette (Kunkee) Hinz in McCook.
Robert was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Robert farmed in the area for several local farmers as well as working as a welder for Westside Welding for many years.
In his free time he enjoyed stock car racing and collecting guns.
Robert is survived by his brothers, Alvin Hinz and wife, Melva, Donald Hinz and Kenneth Hinz all of McCook; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and LaVern Kalthoff and sister-in-law, Barbara Hinz; nephew, Mark Hinz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ash Creek with Pastor Derrick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran, Ash Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
