Ronald L. Pennock

Ronald Lee Pennock passed on January 23, 2017 at his home Southwest of McCook Red Willow County Nebraska.

Ron was born May 15, 1939 in Newton, Iowa to W. Clifford and Goldie Pennock.

Ron graduated from Newton High School, Newton, Iowa in 1957.  Graduated from Evangel University, Springfield, Missouri, May of 1962 with a degree in Business.

Ron and Jane (Peters) married in 1960 in Oberlin, Kansas.  Two children were born to the family Ronda Jane and William “Bill” Cloyd.

Ron loved a challenge and earned his way thru college by doing carpenter work.  He built and helped build many houses and buildings. He was employed by the Maytag Co. in Newton Iowa then to Hon Industries in Muscatine, Iowa both as a packaging engineer.  After moving his family to Dallas, Texas he owned and operated a successful commercial lawn service.  Then he was fortunate to achieve his desire to farm in Red Willow County.  Ron was a man of God and a diligent worker.  He had the capability to accomplish whatever he set out to do.  God blessed him.

Ron survived by his wife Jane of 56 years.  Children Ronda and husband Phil Colling, William “Bill” Pennock.  Grandchildren Julie Jane and husband Nick Babcock, Danielle and husband Samyr El Refaie, Andrew and wife Ann Carpenter, Shelby Pennock and Dave Barr, Megan and husband Todd Palmer.  Great grandsons Corbin and Brandon Babcock.  Sister Susie and husband Jerry Harper and many friends and relatives.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN, 37214-0800 or to the Evangelical Free Church, 502 East 14th st, McCook, NE 69001.
