Roxanne McDonald, age 72, of McCook, NE passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.
Roxanne was born May 21, 1948 in Omaha, NE to parents Chester LeRoy and Beatrice “Ginger” M. (Ogden) Chinn. She was one of three daughters born to this union. Roxanne attended school in McCook and Arvada, Colorado where she graduated from Arvada High School in 1966.
Roxanne worked her entire life. She lived in many places, Orange County, Las Vegas and Flower Mound, TX during her working years. Just before her retirement and move to McCook she was awarded Top Sales Person of the year for Conagra Foods.
Roxanne was a member of McCook Evangelical Free Church. Roxanne received Christ as her Savior in 1980. She was a regular attendee of the Dining Room Table Ladies Bible Study. In spite of her many illnesses she was always a joyful person. She volunteered at the McCook Pantry on a regular basis. She also delivered Meals on Wheels.
Roxanne was passionate about entertaining friends and family who enjoyed her wonderful cooking. Roxanne was an avid Denver Broncos Fan and Nebraska Huskers. She loved all football and was always happy when any pro game was being played.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, Chet and Ginger Chinn, two sets of her beloved grandparents and the love of her life, Gary Ginther.
Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Chad (Stacey) Williams of Scottsdale, AZ; her two sisters, Judy (George) Wortley and Marlene (Monte) Rogers all of McCook; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
