Russell Lynn Carpenter, a beloved father and husband, passed away at Community Hospital in McCook, NE on February 14, 2026, at the age of 57.
On October 26, 1968, Rodney and Thelma (Halley) Carpenter welcomed Russell into the world. Russell was born and raised in McCook, NE where he graduated from McCook High School with the class of 1988.
Russell met Tracy Burrows when they were both attending McCook High School and the two were married in McCook on January 24, 1996. Russell and Tracy were blessed with three children, Shyanne, Dakota, and Keaton, and shared 30 blissful years together.
Russell worked for Walmart for almost 25 years. He was a jack of all trades but ended as a maintenance coach during his time at Walmart.
Throughout his life he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. There were countless trips throughout the years to Sturgis. In Russell’s free time, he was into art, enjoyed camping, and loved fishing. His family will miss his delicious smoked turkey on Thanksgiving.
Russell will be remembered for being hard-working, his ethics and generosity. Russell was a good dad and will be missed dearly.
Those left to celebrate Russell’s life are his wife Tracy Carpenter of McCook, NE; children, Shyanne Carpenter of St. Louis, MO, Dakota Carpenter of McCook, NE, Keaton Carpetner of McCook, NE; father, Rodney Carpenter; brothers, Rodrick (Jada) Carpenter of Indianola, NE, and Eric (Tammy) Biesecker of Bloomington, NE; 3 granddaughters, Luna, Melody, and Elizabeth; and numerous friends and extended family.
Russell is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Carpenter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the Carpenter family to be designated at a later date.
