Sheila Marie Jaramillo

Sheila Marie Jaramillo, of McCook, NE, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. She was 54 years old.

Sheila was born in McCook on May 6, 1963 to Charles D. and Margaret A. (Castle) Ortiz.  She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Sheila enjoyed gardening, camping, swimming and reading. She was an exceptional cook and especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved music and dancing, and her family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her sons, Carlos Vigil of Ault, CO, Jerimeiah Jaramillo and fiancée, Meghan Davies, of McCook, and David Jaramillo of McCook; significant other, Myron Lokhorn of McCook; step mother, Mary Ortiz of McCook; brothers, David (Vickie) Ortiz and Thomas Ortiz, all of McCook; sisters, Cynthia (Joe) Ward of Holyoke, CO, Candace (Dan) Reed of Indianola, NE, Tamrah (Lyle) Straub of Lincoln, NE and Robin Ortiz of McCook. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; and brother, Bill Ortiz.

Memorial services will begin at 1:30 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook, with Father Gary Brethour officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery, Indianola.
