Terry Lee Rouse

Terry Lee Rouse, age 66, passed away very peacefully, with his wife Kim and sister Sue by his side on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, NE.

Terry was born March 1, 1949 to Raymond E. and Carolyn (Shambaugh) Rouse in Nelson, NE.  He was one of six children.

He graduated from Holmesville High School in 1967 and went on to attend Fairbury Jr. College, graduating in 1968.  He attended Nettleton Technical Institute from 1968 – 1969 where he studied Architectural Drafting.  Following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Terry furthered his education by attending Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska from 1975 – 1977, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Accounting.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Navy from December 1969 to October 1974.

He married Kathi Lawler in Charleston, SC in 1974.  To this union two daughters were born, Sandi and Jennifer.  Terry married Kim Loose in Las Vegas on May 26, 1998.

Terry started working with Kildare Lumber in North Platte, Nebraska in June 1978.  In 2002, he transferred to the McCook location to serve as the manager.  Terry liked to golf, and also enjoyed woodworking in his free time.  He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Rouse of McCook; daughters, Sandi Rouse of Encinitas, CA, and Jennifer Bale of Seward, NE; brothers, Al and wife Laurie Rouse and Don and wife Joan Rouse both of Lincoln, NE and Chuck and wife Bonnie Rouse of Omaha, NE; sisters, Carol Rouse of Lincoln and Sue and husband Al Saathoff of Unadilla, NE; as well as his two grandchildren Sheldon, Cassie Bale.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 4:00 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Mike Roth officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name and will be given to Terry’s requested Charities.
