Virginia G. Wing, age 89, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at McCook Community Hospital.

She was born February 4, 1917 to Harry and Edna (Newbrough) Burns at Ft. Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Ft. Dodge High School.

She married Dr. Charles E. Wing September 21, 1940. To this union one daughter was born. She enjoyed playing her piano and organ, needlework, embroidery, sewing, art and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edna, and her husband in 1981.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Constant and husband, Doug of McCook; three grandchildren, Scott Wheeler and wife, RoseMarie of Scottsdale, Arizona, Debra McDonald and husband, Matt of Benson, Arizona, and Tamara Young and husband, Dan of Battle Creek, Nebraska; and four great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be at a later date.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
