Wayne Donald Ely died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Community Hospital in McCook. He was 83 years old.

Wayne was born on October 28, 1923 at McCook to Orin P. and Opal Theresa (Troedsen) Ely. He graduated from McCook High School in 1941.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery with a military honor committal.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
