William Douglas Spry, age 68 of McCook, NE passed away December 27, 2022 in McCook, NE.

William was born on September 22, 1954 to Shirley Wolfe in Lincoln, NE.

William joined the United States Army on September 30, 1971 and serviced in Germany during Vietnam.  He was honorably discharged on August 9, 1973.

William enjoyed fishing, he loved his cats and all animals.

William was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Pam Steiner.

William is survived by his sons Kent Spry of Karlstad, MN, Richard ( Michelle) Spry of Waterville, OH, Kurt Penner of CA; brother Robert Spry of McCook, NE; half brothers Brad (Mary) Howe of Omaha, NE and Bruce (Cindy) Howe of Wood River, NE; half sister Barb Howe-Loshbaugh of Indianola, NE.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorials are suggested to the Donor’s Choice.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, NE.
