Jeffery "Jeff" Floyd Ross

Jeffery Floyd Ross, age 63, of Culbertson, NE passed away at his home in Culbertson on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Jeff was born March 23, 1960 in McCook, NE to parents Robert Floyd and Mary Lou (Ulrich) Ross. He grew up in Culbertson, graduating from Culbertson High School with the Class of 1978. Jeff was confirmed and baptized at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson.

Jeff worked as a Hot Shot fighting forest fires in Montana and also spent time working in the Dallas, TX area before returning to Culbertson in 2001. At that time, he began working for Valley Irrigation while volunteering for the Culbertson Fire Department.

Jeff loved spending time with his friends, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping or enjoying a good BBQ, being together with friends and family was important to Jeff.  He was also a huge NASCAR fan and loved Husker Football and the Dallas Cowboys.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to celebrate his life include his son, Kyle Leskiw of Aspen, CO; his aunts and uncles, Heddy Reiners of Hershey, NE, Virginia Mowe of McCook and Raymond (Nancy) Ulrich of Rockledge, FL; as well as numerous extended family members and lifelong friends.

Memorial Services will be held Friday June 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with Pastor Alisa Parde, officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Culbertson Cemetery.
